BACKGROUND WITH THE WALDNER WINTERS TEAM

I first became acquainted with the WWT in late 2019. I was connected by a mutual friend in Real Estate that said this was the best environment to learn in. After spending a few weeks getting to know the leadership team, I knew this was the place for me. So I moved forward with obtaining my license and officially kicked off my career in January 2020.

I had just left a successful seven-year career in mortgage banking, had a six month old daughter at home, and we were at the beginning stage of the Covid Pandemic, so my only option was to fully dedicate myself to mastering this craft.

MATCHING VALUES

Always finding the win-win is my favorite team value. While I’m very competitive by nature, I want everyone involved with a transaction to walk away with a smile on their face. The seller is handing over the keys to a home that is full of memories, and the buyer is starting a new life there. There’s no better feeling in the world than seeing a seller smile at the new owner, excited for them to love their home the way they have.

5-STAR STAR EXPERIENCE

I work to provide a 5 star experience in all aspects of my business, but where I provide the best service is helping my clients put their vision into practice. We all have a vision of what our dream home looks like. The hardest part of house hunting is when you find out that home is outside your price range or is further from work than you’d hoped.. I spend a lot of time upfront with my clients, uncovering who they are, what they love to do, and what their non-negotiable criteria for a home is. That helps me envision how a home will be lived in and show properties that clients may not have ever considered beforehand. I also spend a lot of time with my contractors on construction sites and homes under renovation. This allows me to look at what a home can become, not just what it is today.

FUn Facts

My favorite hobby & How I got started

My upbringing pushed the importance of working with my hands. My father worked in sales management but when he was at home, we always had some sort of project going on around us. We remodeled homes, finished basements, built RC cars, worked in the garage.… taking things apart and putting them together. From a young age, our relationship was focused on what we could build. I went from holding the flashlight, to turning the wrench, to helping fix my friends' cars, to eventually being the one asking dad to hold a flashlight for me (thanks dad). Anytime I can take something apart and rebuild it, I jump on the opportunity.

Why is a flannel shirt the best shirt?

My wardrobe consists of lots of flannel and plaid. It’s the best pattern ever invented. You can wear plaid to church, around the house, working in the garage, going on a hike, as a jacket, liner for jeans, socks, it’s on christmas decorations… I love plaid because it can be worn raking leaves in the morning and to a 5 star restaurant at night. What else could you ask for in clothing?!?!

Willingness to teach, mentor and collaborate with others

A wise man once told me, ‘The best way to master something is to teach others’ and I’ve really taken that to heart. I’ve found that every time I team someone about a subject I’m passionate about, I’ve learned something myself. This has helped me both master my craft, and also bring others along with me, creating competition to become even better than the day before.

The start to my Real Estate Investing Career

I grew up in a very fiscally conservative family where budgeting, saving, investing, and planning were a major part of every decision make. After many years of hard work, my parents were blessed with the ability to retire in their early 50’s. Being raised in this environment led me to be an investor from a young age. A piece of every paycheck I’ve ever received has gone into savings or an investment account. I started off with simple stocks and bonds in my retirement accounts but quickly became fascinated with real estate. I dove into podcasts, books, and blogs. I live by the phrase ‘If someone else has done it before, I can too’ so I made the jump into real estate investing about 5 years ago.
We focus most of our investment into long term rentals, but also get involved with flips and renovations when the right opportunity arises. Working with investors that have similar goals to my own fires me up, especially when they start seeing their investments cashflow enough to buy more properties without additional seed money.
